Open Group classes can be joined during the cycle, Closed Group classes need registration within the first two weeks of the cycle due to progressive development of the the classes.

With the experience of the recent years, building this community, refining our schedule and teaching we are happy to present a well rounded schedule that has all the flavors of movement with space to equally grow and play. From the light to the heavy, the aware to the explosive, the subtle to the raw strength, we want to cover all the faces in which we can base ourselves.
We follow a long term curriculum that is designed to elevate each and everyone and help you reach your individual goals for the year, no matter if it’s to learn a skill, get stronger or more mobile or want to feel more connected to your body, self, environment and the people around you.
The CYCLES run for three months. We organise our classes into OPEN and CLOSED groups. This provides a space for experimentation, but also allows us to follow a progressive build-up and ensure group progress.

Jump in any time either with your BUNDLE or a DROP-IN
CLOSED GROUPS
Accessible with an ACTIVE or MOVEMENT BUNDLE
Can only be started in the first two weeks of the cycle
SELF PRACTICE SESSIONS
Self practice sessions are a open space to practice whatever is on your mind with a teacher present to answer questions.

curriculum
how we organise our year 2025/26:
Our curriculum follows the academic year to make planning easier and to ensure long-term progress for both individuals and the group.
We also align our activities with the seasons: during the winter months, we make use of the gyms (Turnhallen) provided by the City of Vienna, while in the summer, we train outdoors and use the surrounding environment as our sports field (environmental practice).
The year is structured in cycles of approximately three months, each focusing on different themes. Below is an overview of these cycles:

At Movement Practice Vienna, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to get to know themselves better through their physicality. That is why we created a community-based movement school.
Whether you are at the beginning of your journey or a dedicated practitioner with years of experience, we strive to hold space for everyone and foster a healthy environment where work ethic is as important as enjoying the ease of play and being together. Maintaining a balance between the two creates an environment for the cultivation of one's own mental and physical development and abilities, in which everyone can flourish.
Movement Practice Vienna is a community-based non-profit association (Gemeinnütziger Verein) dedicated to making movement accessible to everyone.

The classes in our community are designed to provide a high level of physical education that supports beginners to advanced practitioners in their pursuit of physical literacy. The annual curriculum is inspired by the various fields of movement practice, sports science and the experience of our teachers. Our vision is to enable and educate everyone to live life fully through their physicality. We achieve this through a comprehensive and inclusive approach to practicing movement together. We explore different disciplines that help us better understand the whole human system, accessing different layers of ourselves. Gaining a better understanding of our bodies, unlocking skills as well as increasing strength and mobility, and becoming more agile, flexible or dexterous are just some of the many benefits that will develop over time through this approach.
Our sessions are led by dedicated practitioners with years of experience in the field and certifications in various disciplines.
