My Background The teaching of Movement Paris is aimed at the global development of physical and mental abilities. My inspiration finds its source in several teachers who, through their teaching, have marked my DNA as a teacher today: My parents, both judo teachers, trained me in this martial art for which I am passionate and have been teaching judo for 14 years. Nuno Del-gado (Portuguese Olympic-judo medallist), who introduced me in 2010 to Ginastica Natural, a practice which changed my vision and way of training within my performance objective. My uncle Yvon Lebbihi, who trained me in Yoga, and Ido Portal, founder of the Movement culture, with whom I had the opportunity to meet and learn from in several camps and workshop (Thai land, Spain, Portugal). Finally, my work with Marcello Palozzo, which has opened up new avenues of reflection on the use of my environment as a training place and the use of urban furniture to stimulate my creativity and push my limits. I Continue to learn from different teachers Marcello and Juan (Movement), Sebastian (percussion) and Regis (Rhythm and juggling)
In this workshop we want to introduce both movers and people with no exposure to the fighting world to fundamental fighting principles. This workshop, then, is based on my experience in the fighting world and several years of research with all my students.
Following topics will be covered:
Work with principles in an alive training context:
Resisting, Opposition and Cooperating with a partner, Weight shifting, Rhythm, Timing, Release, Tension
Grip system, Grabbing someone to control him and to move in space with him.
Ground system, Learn different key point to control someone on the ground and how to move alone in the ground and with someone
Legs on Legs system, Learn how to use your legs, body and hands to attack someone
The foundation of this system is very concrete, allowing the practitioner to develop a clear understanding of it. It is the system which I have been sharing in movement communities, and with friends, all who have come away with the very key, foundational steps. There has been much experience and work invested in this system, and those who are practicing it have shared very positive feedback from their experiences with it. Our focus is not only on fighting, but developing awareness, sensitivity, rhythm & coordination (to name a few and aspects), further to new understandings of an individual’s relationships.
The movement allows me to become aware of my body in space. Learn to strengthen it from the inside out!! I think that movement is an art that is learned on a daily basis and that requires a lot of patience..» Clarisse Agbégnénou
We are looking forward to practice with you.
All the best,
Movement Practice Vienna and Gianni
